A veteran trial lawyer specializing in high-exposure civil litigation, Mr. Douglass leverages his extensive experience in state and federal courts to represent businesses and consumers in both the defense and prosecution of significant claims.
Admitted to practice in all California state and federal courts, Mr. Douglass is an accomplished advocate who has successfully tried cases to verdict and managed numerous binding arbitrations. He has also achieved favorable outcomes on appeal, including arguments before the California Court of Appeal that resulted in reported decisions.
Prior to joining Parker Shaffie, Mr. Douglass served as a litigation partner at two national civil litigation firms. Outside his duties with the firm, Mr. Douglass is committed to community service. Mr. Douglass serves on the Executive Board of Centinela Youth Services, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to leveraging the principles of restorative justice to empower peaceful conflict resolution and to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline. He also volunteers as a Community Educator for the California Southland Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and engages in other community service activities as a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. In his free time, he is a loyal fan of the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Knicks, and enjoys science fiction, graphic novels, and film.
