Joel will present part of a program which delves into the ethical challenges surrounding conflicts of interest, examining how to recognize, prevent, and manage these situations effectively. Amongst other things, it will address the ABA Model Rules 1.1, 1.13, 1.7, 1.9, 1.10 and 1.18.
Participants will explore real-life scenarios where conflicts arise, including issues with current and former clients, as well as third parties. Emphasis will be placed on ethical obligations, disqualification rules, and establishing procedures to safeguard against potential conflicts.
